I
really
don't often gloat
gloat Verb /glōt/
gloat Noun /glōt/
but,
well,
this picture is
looking out
of our
bedroom window
this morning

I mean,
it is
about
72 degrees,
a gentle breeze blowing in from the coast
the sky is blue
bees are buzzing
the earth is warm
and the trees are all blossoming

I mean,
I
am not
gloating, really...
am I?
It is,
indeed,
NOT
with
"malignant pleasure"
that I
took
these
pictures of our first freesia

Poor, dear, silly Spring, preparing her annual surprise!
~Wallace Stevens
